Our mission

We supervise projects that define regional research activities in Science and Information and Communications Technology.

Our research themes

Two priority areas define the department’s field of intervention :

Integration and Guidance for Engineering and Production, based on two specialised techniques:
- Digital and virtual engineering
- Production of goods and services
- Systems safety and security: This scientific set of issues is based on a specialised technique studied to demonstrate a way of measuring surveillance, safety and security of a large-scale site.

Hichem SNOUSSI – Assistant Professor at the University of Technology at Troyes (UTT, Aube, France). – Manager of the “Systems safety and security” programme of the ICOS axes of Regional-State Action Plan (CPER).

"The CPER (through the ICOS axis, is an excellent opportunity to promote this attempt to unite skills around a current scientific and technological theme: “the surveillance, safety and security of large systems". _We are currently working on a multidisciplinary research programme based on implementing a network of collaborative sensors for systems security and monitoring. This research project is perfectly connected to the central theme of SIG, 3SGS and the “Industries and Agro-resources" competitive cluster".

Yvon GARDAN – Director of the Digital Engineering, Collaborative design and Simulation Department, Charleville-Mézières (Ardennes, France).

« We supervise regional SMEs in particular to incorporate Information and Communications Technology. We aim to work with the businesses on the design and digital simulation of objects and to guide them on how to work together.

We take part in the concerted action "ACA" to promote cooperative engineering in SMEs in partnership with CARINNA, UTT, Arts-et-Métiers ParisTech and the company PI3C. We visit businesses, perform audits, and carry out projects that would allow them to integrate the technology. We are also refocusing on a given trade and providing our diagnosis to the whole profession”.
